Limehouse trip.
CHUG, linked with the local junior lifesaving club at Kings Hall Leisure Centre took 12 young people on an away day round trip to Limehouse basin.
Canal water safety aspects and using the locks were discussed as well as practiced, as well as working as part of a team to prepare a lovely lunch on top of the Narrowboat at Limehouse.
While 'working' the 12 locks and taking in the rapidly changing canalside scenery the various water wirds were out in abundance for all to spot and name.
All in all, beautiful sunny and rewarding day was had by all.
Another trip is planned for summer 2007 as part of the lifesaving group's water safety education in the local comminity, in preparation for their RLSS bronze medallion exam.

Donated Boats.
Pictured below are the two boats (a Jackson Fun2 and a Dagger Juice) that CHUG recently donated to the Laburnum Boat Club.
